Diese erste Ausgabe wurde in vier "Sektionen" aufgeteilt (Tod, Träume, Spiele, Ebenen) und zwar so, dass die Bilder dieser Themenkreise getrennt vom Text präsentiert u. durch farbige Nummern auf ihn bezogen werden. - Eins von 50 Expl., von den beiden Künstlerinnen signiert. "The first publication of `The Epiphanies` of Joyce appear with 64 prints, employing over 100 plates, with hand coloring and an original collaged title page. This elaborate, boxed edition in four sections pairs Joyces text with etchings by Susan Weil and Marjorie Hunt Van Dyke, assisted by Maria Luisa Rojo at the Printmaking Workshop. The calligraphy is by Jerry Kelly. The text has been printed by Daniel Keleher and Bruce Chandler of Wild Carrot Letterpress on Rives Moulin du Gue paper. The type was cast by Dan Carr and Julia Ferrarie of Golgonooza Letter Foundry. The finely crafted box is the work of David Bourbeau of the Thistle Bindery. The collages were produced by Zahra Partovi." Joyce schrieb die "Epiphanies" im Alter zwischen 18 u. 21 Jahren. Aus ihnen "entlehnte" er, bzw.
